Gruff Rhys and Boom Bip continue the upward ascent of Neon Neon as they fire off another soaring sway of synth brilliance. Punchier than Ricky Hatton, ’Dream Cars’ comes on like MGMT about ten minutes after they have learnt to play their instruments properly, wasting absolutely no time in funking out of your speakers and forcing you to bop around the room in a joyfully mindless electro goosestep until bits of brain begin to drip from your nose. When the fuits of Gruff’s side project are this good, you begin to suspect that the return of the Super Furries can wait.
