Laughing in the face of the looming recession, lil Albert Hammond returns with a golden slice of indie sunshine that provides another chance for you to spend yourself further into the poor house. Recognising that sometimes it’s best not to stray too far from home and what you know, Hammond sticks to the indierock blueprint established on 2006 debut ‘Yours To Keep’ to produce a cogent and cohesive lump of typical brilliance that romps along in a woozy haze of West Coast bliss. The dissolution of The Strokes continues, and who’d have thunk Fugly Stroke would have been the one to come out on top? Our Aggy sure can pick em.
